Scarce and very nice fat Canada Goose decoy by Miles Hancock (1888-1974), Chincoteague Island, VA. Circa 1940-50s. Excellent all original paint, thats very strong, dry and clean, with very nicely done bold paint patterns. This is a excellent example for any collection. It is sure to please any collector of Chincoteague or Virginia historic maker gunning decoys. More pics avail!

is a quickly growing club that has formed on the Eastern Shore. Meetings are the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Adams Tap House in Fruitland, MD in the Salisbury area. "Show and Tell" species next meeting is any maker Brant decoy and any decoy by a Chesapeake Bay maker! Should be a interesting mix!
